What can tuneable white and RGB lighting products bring to your lighting installation?
Dynamic and controllable lighting is becoming increasingly commonplace in today’s lighting installations. As more workplaces, commercial and retail settings, and even residential projects, realise the benefits that investing in lighting can have, this is a trend that is set to stay.
Tuneable white and RGB lighting products are two areas of lighting that are growing in popularity. So, what is driving this?
Firstly, it is all about choice. Why be stuck with just one colour temperature or one colour of light when you can have control over how an installation looks and feels? Tuneable white light can be altered throughout the day, ensuring that lighting matches our circadian rhythms. No-one likes to be blinded by over lighting, especially at night time when our bodies are meant to be getting ready for sleep.
The same is true of RGB. There may be multiple reasons to use different colours; perhaps to reflect time of day, or a particular occasion or celebration. Whatever the reason, it comes back to being in control and being able to choose how the lighting meets the needs of a space at any given time.
Secondly, there’s a shift towards future proofing. Spaces, both commercial and residential, change their functions over time. What once was a working area of an office could become a networking space, which requires different lighting and ambience. In a home, a spare bedroom may be repurposed to an office. By having lighting that can be adapted, either by selecting the colour temperature with a tuneable white solution or the hue with RGB, the lighting can reflect the new purpose.
Aurora Lighting has recognised these trends and responded by adding to its already-popular LEDLine™COB strip lighting range. Now available in tuneable white and RGB variants, the product family suits a variety of needs and demands across a plethora of environments.
