Luton & Dunstable Hospital
Regular meetings ensured a thorough understanding of the client’s challenges and needs. Aurora conducted a complete lighting review, which led to a detailed report evaluating the existing system’s effectiveness. A proposal and specification comprising approximately 1500 fittings from the Aurora VersiTileTM and dSeriesTM ranges followed after a comparison between existing lighting energy use and the proposed Aurora solution – bringing 46% savings in energy consumption.
An installation programme which would reduce user occupancy downtime to a minimum was to be supported by regular meetings between Aurora and LDUH’s Mechanical & Electrical Capital Projects Manager.
Luton and Dunstable University Hospital is pleased to report a good saving on costs has been achieved and we are well into payback of the initial capital project investment. Overall, we were very impressed with Aurora - and believe that ultimately we have achieved the vast majority of goals we had initially set out to achieve.
