Banbridge Leisure Center attracts families from across Northern Ireland. It is home to a six-court sports hall, three-court squash courts and outdoor pitches. The Centre’s meeting rooms are suitable for activity classes, meetings and workshops.
The key objective for this project was to transform the Leisure Centre’s existing spin cycle facility from basic to an exciting place for a workout, using coloured lighting.
The Project
The management of the leisure centre sought to add colour to the spin cycle room through lighting to enhance the experience for gym members.
Ian Lancashire, one of Northern Ireland’s popular electricians who has used Aurora’s products and AOne smart lighting system for many installations, including his own property, recommended the lighting to management.
Upon hearing of the AOne Bluetooth smart lighting system, Aurora presented management with a demonstration of the AOne Connect.Control Bluetooth lamps. Whilst carrying out the demonstration, Aurora added in the music feature. Needless to say they were extremely impressed and the system was immediately installed.
Ian used Aurora’s EDLM™ PRO downlight range with the bluetooth lamps. These feature fixed, adjustable and wallwasher aluminium downlights and are available in white, polished chrome and satin nickel finishes.

Both gym members and coaches as well as management have been extremely pleased with the AOne smart lighting solution and the results of this installation.
