15 March 2019

Aurora is exhibiting at Building Holland 9 - 11 April at RAI Amsterdam with demonstrations of their Fully Integrated Control and Sensing & Retrofit Smart lighting solutions. They are a headline sponsor of Gooee®’s IoT Arena in Hall 12, Stand 21 for the full three day event.

What is Building Holland?

Building Holland is an annual innovation, installation and construction event that brings together professionals from the building, real estate and construction industries across the world. It focuses on solutions that are changing the way we design and develop buildings for the better. It looks at sustainability, energy transition and digital integration. Building Holland puts these concepts to the market and challenges them to innovate. The event has an attendance of 15,000 visitors and 250 exhibitors.

Building Holland connects innovators, offers a stage to leaders and gives visitors a chance to meet with industry leading companies.

What to Expect From Aurora

Aurora has worked with Gooee for a number of years to develop a B2B Smart Lighting solution that can be easily installed into a building and integrated with sensors that are powered by Gooee’s IoT Building platform.

Visitors will have the opportunity to come to Aurora’s pod and experience the latest cutting edge lighting technology that is relevant to professionals looking to supply reliable smart lighting into the commercial, industrial, retail and hospitality sectors. Aurora’s lighting experts will be on hand to demonstrate the capabilities of the high quality products and answer questions.

Lighting is the perfect host for a sensory based platform due to it’s uniform installation in most buildings. The connected sensors are able to read a space with high accuracy. Aurora’s lighting design philosophy allows for highly optimised specifications which are unique to a customer's needs and made to order. The reliability and efficiency of each luminaire makes them the perfect infrastructure for sensors and IoT integration.

Aurora’s Integrated Lighting Solution

Our pod will showcase Smart lighting options with the AXiO Airspan and AXiO Artius products on display for visitors to see them in action.

The AXiO Airspan is a low glare UGR19 recessed office light using Spaceview™ software by Gooee® to monitor and analyse current occupation of spaces, aid future office planning, and utilise existing spaces more effectively. It has a removable central louvre, which gives a different visual when low UGR is not required, and is an ideal choice for uniformity of light which improves employee comfort and well being.

The AXiO Artius is a recessed fixed downlight with a modern design and TIR lens with a selection of optics from very narrow 10° to wide wash. It is perfect for the office and breakout areas. Aurora offers versatility with this solution having recessed, adjustable and track mount versions available.

We will also be showcasing the AXiO Linium and AXiO Ultrium.

The Linium outputs a continuous suspended line of light and is capable of customer interaction via onboard beaconing. It has dramatic clean lines in a modern visual aesthetic and its modularity allows for a flexible approach for adding Emergency and live feed anywhere along the line.

The Ultrimum is an IP65 high bay suspended luminaire, perfect for industrial applications and harsher environments. LightView™ wireless control facilitates daylight harvesting and intelligent scheduling, to help reduce energy bills and overheads of the end user.

It also has unique optical control, minimising the number of luminaires required, saving further costs as well as delivering an impressive ROI, with 28,000 lumens effective up to 15m suspension heights.

Aurora’s Retrofit Lighting Solutions

Aurora has over 900+ luminaires that can be Made Smart using AOne™ Control inline dimmers, powered by Gooee. It is a very simple install and allows for complete control over all lights in a circuit.

Some of the key products are the Lumi-Fit™, the Artius range, E6060™Pro, Eddi™ and Moon™. All offer a significantly different solution which our experts will expand on, and they can all be controlled via AOne Control.

The Lumi-fit is a high performance, round ambient LED downlight. Its opal diffuser gives extra comfort and quality of light for general areas. It is a high quality replacement of traditional luminaires utilising LED to save energy.

The E6060Pro is an efficient UGR19 edge lit panel built for commercial applications. It is available in 600x600 and 1200x600 suitable for both 15 & 24mm T-Bar, allowing standardisation in offices and circulation areas across property portfolios.

The Eddi is a circular adjustable downlight, designed for retail and display spaces. It is available in 80 and 90 CRI, the family range has seven different visuals and three easily interchangeable beam angles for surface, track and recessed applications. The overall aesthetics matter greatly in retail and this downlight’s sleek look and versatility makes it a first choice for smart retail retrofits.

Finally, the Moon 1 is a tubular shaped spotlight primarily for Hospitality settings. In this environment being able to customise your lighting is very important for ambience. It has a low glare (UGR<10) and is only 65mm in diameter. The Moon 1 is a range of compact accent luminaires developed for high comfort with a modern aesthetic, for social spaces, cafes & restaurants.

All these retrofit products are easily installed and can be made smart with an inline dimmer, or smart relay between the switch and the first light in the circuit.

Aurora is bringing key, smart capable products that will help businesses move into the future. Aurora can develop, design and install smart lighting that is essential to future proof smart buildings.

We will have more updates on the show as we move closer to the event on 9-11 April. Make sure to keep an eye out on Aurora’s Social Media for updates on Building Holland.
